Postponement of Admission
At CGS, we understand that students may encounter circumstances that require them to delay their studies. The following outlines our policies regarding the postponement of admission for students who are unable to register for courses as initially planned.
One-Time Postponement: A student’s admission may be postponed once for a period not exceeding one academic year. This postponement requires the approval of both the Program Committee and the College of Graduate Studies.
Consequences of Non-Registration:
-
Immediate Non-Registration: A student who does not register for courses in the same semester they were admitted, and who does not formally postpone their admission, will be considered to have withdrawn from the program.
-
Post-Postponement Non-Registration: Similarly, a student who postpones their admission but fails to register for courses in the semester immediately following their postponement period will also be considered to have withdrawn from the program.
