Re-enrollment Policies
Re-enrollment procedures at CGS provide students who have had their enrollment canceled with an opportunity to rejoin their program under certain conditions. These policies are designed to accommodate students who have faced interruptions in their studies while maintaining the integrity of the academic programs.
Re-enrollment after Study Interruption
-
Students whose enrollment was canceled due to an interruption of study for more than two semesters may be re-enrolled.
-
Conditions for Re-enrollment:
-
Approval from the Program Committee and the College of Graduate Studies is required.
-
The gap between cancellation and re-enrollment should not exceed two semesters.
-
The student should not have been academically dismissed from the program.
-
Re-enrollment for Thesis Completion
-
If the only remaining graduation requirement is passing a thesis examination, students may be re-enrolled to complete their thesis.
-
Conditions for Thesis Completion Re-enrollment:
-
The thesis must be delivered within two semesters following the cancellation of enrollment.
-
Failure to complete the thesis within this period will be considered a withdrawal from the program.
-
Limitations on Re-enrollment
-
A student may be re-enrolled in the same program only once, except in the case of re-enrollment for thesis completion as stipulated above.
Restrictions on Re-enrollment
-
Students cannot be re-enrolled in the same program from which they have either withdrawn or previously obtained a Graduate Diploma.
