Essential Criteria for Eligibility

Academic Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or its equivalent) from Kuwait University or another accredited academic institution.

Full-time Enrollment: Candidates must meet all requirements for full-time enrollment in a Master’s or Doctoral degree program at Kuwait University.

Academic Performance: A minimum overall GPA of 3.00 on a 4-point scale is required in both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. This reflects the high academic standards expected of scholarship recipients.

English Language Proficiency: Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential. Applicants must submit language proficiency test results, such as a TOEFL score of at least 550, to demonstrate their ability to engage with academic materials and research effectively.

Standardized Admission Tests: Applicants must successfully pass internationally recognized admission tests relevant to their program, such as the GRE. The College of Graduate Studies sets minimum thresholds for these tests to ensure excellence.
